Marriage School/Quince Gospel Ministry (Godly Home Ministry)

Messengers of Mercy and our partner missionaries have been leading the GODLY HOME MINISTRY for many years. This ministry teaches how families can be restored to the biblical standard God sets forth in His Word. As families learn to interact God’s way, through their relationships to God and to one another, marriages are healed and family life is restored, creating a loving, healthy environment for the family to thrive and grow in godly living.

Missionary Iksoo Yoon, currently working in Costa Rica, started this ministry with MOM, and experienced successful results in local churches in Costa Rica. Since that time, the Godly Home Ministry has spread to other countries and is successfully taking place in Peru, Nicaragua, and Cuba.

We are excited to announce that after many months in which Covid-19 prevented us from traveling overseas on short-term mission trips, MOM is currently planning a Short-term Mission Trip to support and encourage the Godly Home Ministry in Cuba.

Short-term mission schedule/local stay - Total expenses and tax deductions

10/21/2022 —10/27/2022 (7 days 6 nights)

*Please apply for a visa to Cuba, providing a copy of your passport, before the visa application deadline on August 20, 2022 (60 days before departure).

Total expenses and tax deductions

Local accommodation fee ($750): accommodation, transportation, water (due to severe drinking water problem) use the mission center, donations from the local church, local ministry supplies such as meetings of local pastors/support expenses, reserve expenses, etc.

Immigration Application Fee ($40)

MOM Mission Ministry Expenses ($100): Household ministry supplies, medicines, photography ministry preparations, and general office expenses

Local cultural experience fee ($150): lodging fee, transportation fee, meal fee, entrance fee for local cultural tour

A total of $890, including the local accommodation fee and MOM service fee, is payable to M.O.M.

Tax Deductible experiences include: the local stay fee($750), the visa entry application fee ($40), and the MOM ministry fee ($100).

Mission Trip Certificate: MOM will send each Team Member a Mission Trip Certificate  as a document confirming tax deductible expenses. Attach your receipts, such as airfare expenses for missionary work, to the Mission Trip Certificate when making a tax deductible claim.

- Arrive at Havana Airport: transfer to your accommodation

                                            (Iglesia Apostolica el Cano, Mission Center)

- 6 pm: Iglesia Apostolica el Cano Family Ministry

             (Wedding Ceremony for Couples & Purity Vows for Young People)

- Dinner: Evaluation (Prayer Meeting) and bedtime (lodging at mission center)

 2^nd Day 10/22/22 (Saturday)

          - 7 am: Morning Devotion (15 minutes)

          - Morning: Cultural tour of downtown Havana Centro Havana with

            capitolio(capitol building) and old cars (antique cars), Havana vieja with

            Plaza Armas (former Havana), Revolution Square (Che Guevara, Jose Marti)

         - Afternoon: Havana local church (Artemisa, La Europa)

                             (Wedding Ceremony for Couples & Purity Vows for Young People)

         - After dinner: Cultural tour of Havana night view

                                (Cabaya Yose and Malecon breakwater)

         - Introduction of Cuba Mission: (Missionary Jeon Jae-deok)

3^rd Day 10/23/22 (Sunday)

         - 7 am: Morning Devotion (15 minutes)

         - Morning: Sunday worship (Mission Center)

         - Afternoon: Wedding Ceremony for Couples & Purity Vows for Young People at

                             the outskirts of Havana (La viviana, Iglesia Yorlis San Agustin)

         - After dinner: Introduction of Latin American GHM (Missionary Yoon Ik-soo)

 4^th Day 10/24/22 (Monday)

            - 7 am: Morning Devotion (15 minutes)

            - Morning: Cojimar (“The Old man and the Sea” background, marina and

                                           restaurant) Culture and Nature Tour

            - Afternoon: Wedding Ceremony for Couples & Purity Vows for Young People at

                                Havana outskirts and local churches (Bauta, Playa Lazarito)

            - Dinner: Cuban restaurant (Cuban lobster)

            - Testimony of Team Members

5^th Day 10/25/22 (Tuesday)

        - 7 am: Morning Devotion (15 minutes)

        - Morning: Departure from Havana to Varadero (beach)

        - Afternoon: Arrive at Varadero Resort Hotel

                           (The world's best beach 95 miles south of Key West, FL)

        - Dinner: Hotel dinner buffet, various cultural events, personal free time

       6^th Day, October 26 (Wednesday)

       - 7 am: Morning Devotion (If a meeting place in the morning is available at the

                     hotel, sharing the Word/Prayer Meeting for 15 minutes)

       - Morning: Check out of Varadero Resort Hotel and transfer to Havana

       - Afternoon: Cultural Tour of Hemingway Memorial

                           (The house where world-famous writer Hemingway lived)

       - Evening: Evaluation meeting (Prayer Meeting) at the dormitory

      7^th Day, 10/27/22 (Thursday)

       - Depart from Havana Airport according to the flight schedule
